Recently we interviewed one of our new patients who has suffered from seizures, internal shaking, insomnia, low energy, and neck pain for years. Unfortunately for 11 years, she went from doctor to doctor looking for help.
She came up empty-handed. She sought help from her primary care doctor, neurologists, and many alternative doctors searching for a solution. Her health declined so badly that her own mother had to move in with her to help care for her four children.
Her husband is in the military and she was unable to care for them when he was absent. Blood tests, MRI, ct scans, and other medical tests came up negative. Eventually, she was relegated to eating quinoa, carrots, and celery. Any other foods would cause seizures, face swelling, hives, nausea, and vomiting.
The general public would never think to see a doctor who corrected spinal misalignment in the upper neck to fix these sorts of health problems. It is usually only after extensive research and being failed by conventional medicine that forces chronically ill people to look outside of the MAINSTREAM SYSTEM.
This is exactly what Kathryn did. She was forced to research on google to find an answer. Kathryn found out about upper cervical care through google research. Once stumbling upon upper cervical and doing some reading it made a lot of sense to her.
The principle of the central nervous system controlling and coordinating every function in the body and if a spinal segment in the neck is misaligned can interfere with the normal function was plausible. Next, Kathryn found an upper cervical chiropractic patient who spoke about their recovery on YouTube.
These stories spoke to her current plight. As a consequence, she found our office, made an appointment and drove 1 hour and a half to get to our Carson Blair upper cervical chiropractic office.
Like all patients, we took a detailed history, ran a battery of tests to determine whether she had upper cervical spinal misalignment or not. Her objective tests showed a 3/4 inch short leg on the right, imbalances on her thermography neck test and imbalanced cervical spine musculature.
Next, a series of digital X-rays were performed to determine exactly how her atlas (c-1) vertebrae had misaligned. In Kathryn's case, she had a forward right atlas misalignment of 3 mm referenced to a stable skull.
She was then corrected using a gentle, precise, adjustment based on her Xray findings. Each patient has unique anatomy and misalignment pattern. The correction is different than normal chiropractic in that there is no twisting, popping, or pulling. What has transpired since has been transformative?
Kathryn 5 week recovery story
Upper cervical cate is NOT a quick fix. It requires to follow up and time to allow the central nervous system to heal and repair the body. Since Kathryn's first adjustment 5 weeks ago she has made great strides in recovering her health.
As you may have seen In the attached video, Kathryn's seizures have remitted, insomnia has improved, energy levels have skyrocketed and nausea and neck pain have resolved. Kathryn is still in the beginning stages of care but like many chronically sick people who undergo Blair upper cervical care healing changes can occur quite rapidly.
What Exactly Does. Blair Upper Cervical Doctor Do?
Cervical doctors are specially trained to locate spinal misalignments in the upper cervical spine and correct them. Spinal misalignment is located by running a battery of neurological tests that locate the spinal segments that have been injured and misaligned by a prior neck injury.
Once located, precision imaging in the form of digital x-ray or cone-beam computed tomography (Cbct) is used to precisely determine which joint has misaligned and the angulation of the misaligned joint.
Each person’s anatomy is different and therefore imaging is used to uncover the blueprint to be used to correct each patient’s individual misalignment pattern. Once this information is gleaned, a gentle, light correction is made without twisting, popping, or pulling.
The patient is then monitored overtime to ensure that the correction is holding. If the testing indicates the need for another correction, then it is performed.
However, the goal of Blair Upper Cervical Care is for the patient to stay in “adjustment”.It isn’t the correction that produces healing. It is the removal of nerve irritation and the adjustment “holding” in its normal position that allows the body to function better and proceed through a healing process.
This is how Blair Chiropractic can help patients like Kathryn. Blair Upper Cervical allows the body to heal itself.
If you are suffering from Seizures, neck pain, nausea or any other chronic degenerative disease give upper cervical care a chance. You will be glad you did.
